The paper publishes new floristical and syntaxonomical data from several regions of Hungary. Some of them are new taxa for a region (e.g. Dryopteris pseudo-mas, Elatine hungarica, Melica picta in the Dráva Plain; Luzula pallescens in the Litke-Etes Hills), while others are recent evidences of old data (e.g. Marsilea quadrifolia, Eranthis hyemalis in the Dráva Plain; Neottia nidus-avis in the Illancs; Montia fontana in the Mecsek Mts.).

Scrophularia scopolii was known as a vascular plant species of disturbed xero-mesophilous and mesophilous forests (Kevey–Király 2002) in Hungary. The new and earlier floristical data of Scrophularia scopolii on ruderal and segetal fields emphazise the half-light and disturbance tolerant character of this species (at least in the southern part of the Transdanubian Region).

The dry heath and scrub (Genistion pilosae) fragments of the southern slopes of Mecsek Mts. was identified as a type of Agrostio vinelais–Genistetum pilosae Ambrozek et Chytrý 1990, a new association for Hungary.
