Kivonat:

The present study comprises the list of Hungarian habitats and the areal map of Digitalis lanata. The species lives first of all in those regions of the country, where the influence of the submediterran climate can be felt. It is generally found in dry grassland vegetation, and less frequently in shrubby woods. The plant’s nativity is possible in such habitats. It is often planted in various places as an ornamental and medicinal herb. Because it is inclined to grow wild, it can penetrate into diverse weed associations from the gardens, therefore the question of its nativity in Hungary remains open. An argument for nativity is that these habitats are in the vicinity of its natural area. Thus the „flora-bridge” from „Balkan” to „Dunazug” mountain across the „Mezőföld” can explain a significant part of Transdanubian presences. An additional proof can be that the glycoside content of the populations that appear to be natural is low, and the seeds are dormant. However, a counter-argument can be brought up that these natural-like stocks can be a few hundreds years old, having been introduced by the Ottoman occupation. In those times improving of this herb for  glycoside content and simultaneous germination of seeds was not important. The answer for the question of nativity can be expected research in future decades. Results of the last years suggest that Digitalis lanata can turn up in further places in the future.
