This mini-review summarizes the published data about the mycorrhizal status of plant species in Hungary. Only data originating from natural environments and published in peer-reviewed journals have been collected. These refer to the mycorrhizae and other fungal root colonization of a total of 159 plant species studied in Hungary. The data were published in more than 30 papers. The review discusses the importance of the mycorrhizae and also the problems related to the usage of mycorrhizal data.
