Kivonat:

Hungarian xeric and xerothermic localities of Sesleria uliginosa (usually considered as a fen meadow species) were investigated with special respect to the origin of Sesleria populations. Such localities are known from the Bakony and Vértes Mts as well as the hills of “Fertőmelléki-dombsor” near Sopron so far. In our opinion these populations are of secondary and most probably of anthropochorous or zoochorous origin. Facts confirming our viewpoint are: (1) All populations are located in dry or semidry habitats, the physiognomy and cenological structure of which has been formed by several hundreds of years of human activity (e.g. grazing, forestry, game management). (2) Each locality is close to settlement(s) as well as to significant wetland (lowland) population(s). (3) Xeric and xerothermic Sesleria polycormons are invariably local. Furthermore, indicating unfavourable habitats, they hardly produce inflorescences. However, due to the high drought-resistance of the species, polycormons can survive for a long time. (4) Some of the occurrences are obviously secondary (forest roads and glades, quarry yard). In this paper the name S. coerulea (L.) Ard. was considered as a nomen ambiguum, hence the names S. uliginosa and S. albicans were used instead.
