Kivonat:

The psammophilous annual grass, Secale sylvestre Host was detected at the Hungarian part of the Nyírség region for the first time. (At the Romanian part of the region, an uncertain and unconfirmed record was published ca. 40 years before.) The recently discovered occurrence is located 25 km to the east of Debrecen near villages Vámospércs, Nyíracsád and Nyírábrány (47º31.8'-32.7' N; 21º56.6'-57.6' E).; 133-143 m a.s.l.; UTM: ET 76; CEU: 8497). The species was detected in understorey of young Robinia pseudo-acacia and Pinus sylvestris plantations and in neighbouring acidophilous grasslands. Distribution of the population was surveyed at a 3.5 km2 sized area where it occupied ca. 15 ha. Phytosociological and soil characteristics of the habitat were recorded. Analyzing the circumstances of the occurrence we suppose that the population was introduced with black locust or scots pine saplings from the Duna-Tisza-köze region. Because of insufficiently documented forestry activities, we failed to determine its time and source. Possible effect of site management on population expansion is also discussed.
