Not only the thermal lake but the dikes temperated by its outlet across the peatland near Hévíz and Keszthely serve as refugee for archaeophytes and colonisable habitat for introduced neophytes. The continuos decline of peatland habitat and its original biodiversity parallel with the intrusion of invasive archaeo- and neophytes has been demonstrated by floristical records since 1799. A short taxonomical and distributional review is given with brief diagnosis in the case of neccessity on the archaeophyton Nymphaea alba L. var. minor DC., relic Schoenoplectus litoralis (Schrad.) Palla, introduced relic Nymphaea lotus L. and introduced Nymphaea rubra Roxb. subsp. longiflora Lov., Cabomba caroliniana A. Gray, Egeria densa (Planch.) Casp., Gymnocoronis spilanthoides DC., Pistia stratiotes L., Rotala macrandra L, Shinnersia rivuralis (A. Gray) King & Robinson, Utricularia gibba L. recently.
