Forest site data of forestry working plans include a lot of information relevant also for botany, but botanists seldom use them. Following analyses demonstrate in what extent can forestry data be useful in botanical studies: habitat indication of coenological relevés expressed by ecological indicator values are compared with soil data (genetic and physical soil type) of forestry working plans using GIS software MAPINFO 3.0. Genetic soil type correlates with RB (soil reaction) value, and evenness of water supply (dependent on physical and genetic soil type) correlates with CB (continentality) value.
