Collecting data on habitat requirements and phenology of Montia fontana subsp. minor, we corrected data found in Hungarian identification books and handbooks. The characteristic habitat of the species is not alder and spring marches, but wet, pioneer surfaces an acidic basic stone. The flowering time is not May and June, but April and May. Distribution map (in UTM-system) are filled with the current and earlier data of species (from herbaria and literatural too).
