The author summerises her floristic observations on the protected floodplain of the Gemenc Region, as well as the floristical data found in the literature. With the exception of very old data from the beginning of the 20th century, 561 plant species (taxa) can be found on the studied area. 90 of them are new for the area. A lot of the new species are common weeds, but aquatic macrophytes, Nanocyperion- and Fagetalia-species have also been found, some of them are new for the Hungarian Danube-valley, or rare in Hungary.
