On our collecting trips we found first in Hungary an adventive species from North-America, namely Lindernia dubia (L.) Pennel (Scrophulariaceae). It occurs in S-Transdanubia and Tiszántúl. We give a key to help the separation from the native Hungarian Lindernia procumbens (Krock.) Philcox. There are significant differences between the two species in the following characteristics (basen on t-test): length of leaves (t = 13,083, df = 348, p < 0,001), length of pedicels  (t = 3,5309, df = 348, p < 0,001), ratio od pedicels/leaf length (t = 4,7182, df = 348, p < 0,001). Distribution map (in UTM-system) are filled with the current data of species.
