Cyperus glaber L. with S-Eurasian and African area was found first in Hungary by Fekete (1954) in Velence Hills, in the boundary of village Csala. The present paper reports the second Hungarian locality of the species. The authors found it in the boundary of Paks, in the beach mud vegetation of a small artifical pond. The plant was found by the authors in the beach mud vegetation [with Cyperus fuscus, Cyperus glomeratus, Scirpus supinus, Veronica scardica, Pseudognaphalium luteo-album, Alisma lanceolatum] of a small artifical pond in the boundary of Paks on 24th september, 2000.
