A very rare and phytogeographically important species, S. polymorphum was rediscovered in the vicinity of Lake Balaton in May, 2006. Since Kitaibel's collection (1799, BP), for more than 200 years, nobody has confirmed this record. Some further interesting data from the northwestern part of the Mezőföld region are reported.
