Kivonat:

The surface analysis with the help of aerial maps has had a great developement since 1916, when the first experiments were made in Hungary. Following the end of prohibitions after the 1st World War, the research progress in aerial photogrammetry rapidly accelerated. Hungary got into the front line of the progress in this field in the second part of 1920s. Although the adaptation of aerialphotography for forestry started in the 1930s, the state-controlled aerial mapping were available for botanists only to a limited extent throughout 50 years after the 2nd World War. In the 1990s the scientific use of aerial photography increased. By now the first Hungarian digital device for remote sensing has been made, which is a calibrated digital multispectral aerial camera system. Holding out a promise to new results, its adaptation in vegetation mapping and its practical try-out is under way.
