Kivonat:

The work presents the distribution of the protected and endangered plant species occurring in Őrség-Vendvidék region, the westernmost part of Hungary. The area is the most humid part of Hungary. Characteristic forest communities are the followings: mixed deciduous scots pine forest, mesic and acidophilous mountain meadows and other wet grasslands. Rare Sphagnum bogs and spruce forests are also important in spite of their small areas. Among the floristical rarities of national importance we can find the species of Noricum. Four species occur exclusively in this region: Alchemilla xanthochlora, Teucrium scorodonia, Alnus viridis and Goodyera repens. Arnica montana has been considered as an extinct species from Hungary, but there is a population just 20 meters from the Slovenian frontier, so we hope to find Hungarian localities too in the future.
