Kivonat:

A new population of Crocus reticulatus discovered at 4 March 1998 at Kunfehértó. The population consists of more than one thousand specimens. The new habitat is about 40 and 35 km distances from the earlier known Ásotthalom and Baja-Sükösd territories, respectively. Crocus reticulatus living in part of the forest, upper canopy of which dominated by Robinia pseudo-acacia, but dense stands of Crocus develop at places, where the soil covered by leaves of poplar. The schrub canopy is thick and dominated by Crataegus monogyna. Frequent species of the herb layer are: Viola odorata, Stellaria media, Anthriscus cerefolium, Ornithogalum umbellatum, Muscari neglectum. The areas of Crocus and Botrychium partly overlap. Despite of the official protection of the territory, the new habitat is endangered due to the clear-cutting of the forest.
