The authors carried out a flora research in the eastern part of Cserhát (hilly region of North-Hungary). The paper gives the first results. In the ennumeration, after the species name the habitat and the exact places of the occurances are described. They also give data on who else, whene and where found the species earlier. In the list the following results can be emphasised.

- The occurances of some Fagetalia species e.g. Polystichum aculeatum (L.) Roth, Actaea spicata L., Geranium phaeum L.. Their presence are interesting because the region has submediterranian and continental character.

- In xerothermic oak-forests such as Ceraso–Quercetum, Corno–Quercetum, Quercetum petraeae–cerris communities Vicia sparsiflora Ten. can be found, and in rocky grasses and steppe-slopes mainly exposed to south Cytisus albus Hacq., , Lathyrus sphaericus Retz., Onosma arenarium W. et K., Orobanche alsatica Kirschl., Crupina vulgaris L., Allium paniculatum L. grown.

- Some species generally known to be frequent in the western part of Hungary e.g. Ononis pusilla L., Carex halleriana Asso. or Fraxinus ornus L. are quite frequent here too.

- Common species with the Great Hungarian Plain occure on the southern foreground of the hills: Potentilla supina L., Euphorbia palustris L., Aster sedifolius L., Iris spuria L., etc.

- The occurence of some rare weeds are also noticeable: e.g. Nepeta cataria L., Kickxia elatine (L.) Dum., Reseda phyteuma L., Centaurea solstitialis L., Carthamus lanatus L., Melica altissima L., Tragus racemosus (L.) All.
